1. Our commitment

EspaceCredit Inc. is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and applicable federal law.

2. Information we collect

• Identity: name, date of birth, address, email, phone number, social insurance number (for credit verification purposes).
• Financial information: monthly income, employment status, requested loan amount and term.
• Supporting documents: government ID, proof of income, bank statements (at least 6 months).
• Account information: encrypted password, your application history.

3. Purpose of collection

We use your information only to: assess your loan application, verify your identity and repayment capacity, communicate with you about your file, comply with our legal obligations, and improve our services. No credit decision is made by an automated system alone: every application is reviewed by a member of our team.

4. Sharing with third parties

Your information may be processed by service providers we use to operate the platform, including cloud hosting and secure document storage, and a transactional email provider used to send you communications about your file. These providers may host data outside Quebec (including in the United States) and are contractually required to protect your information. We never sell your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Retention

Your information is retained as long as necessary to assess your application and, if your loan is approved, for the duration of the contractual relationship and the period required by our legal and accounting obligations, after which it is securely destroyed or anonymized.

6. Your rights

You may at any time request access to your personal information, request corrections, or withdraw your consent to certain processing (subject to our legal obligations). To exercise these rights, contact our privacy officer at privacy@espacecredit.ca.

7. Security

Your passwords are encrypted and your documents are stored in private storage accessible only to authorized personnel. Communications with our site are encrypted (HTTPS).
